Suzanne Swantak and Nathaniel Furman were married in the presence of family and friends at the historic Major's Inn in Gilbertsville on May 21, 2011.
The bride is the daughter of Catherine and Richard Swantak of South Kortright.
The groom is son of Douglas and Joanne Furman of Walton.
The bride's maid of honor was Christina Swantak, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Anne Swantak, Kelly Tischmacher and Katelynn Swantak, sisters of the bride; and Joann Battaglia, friend of the bride.
The groomsmen were Joe Mack, Kevin Radeker, James Carlson and Steve Aitkin, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Sawyer Furman, son of the bride and groom.
The sunny afternoon garden ceremony was officiated by Ken Nolan. Music was provided by local musician Jon Liebing. The Inn was decorated with gerber daisies, hand-painted birdhouses and adornments created by Catherine Swantak, mother of the bride, and family friend Jill Tannone. Bouquets of lilies, roses and daisies were fashioned by Joanne Furman, mother of the groom, for the bridal party.
The bride is a graduate of South Kortright Central School and Ithaca College. She has her master's degree in education from the State University College at Oneonta. She is the school counselor at Franklin Central School.
The groom is a graduate of Walton Central School and the State University College at Brockport. He works in human resources at Springbrook as the recruitment specialist.
The couple live in Oneonta with their sons Sawyer and Dawson, and two dogs, Buddy and Geri Lee.
