Shawn David Hartwell and Becky Sue Joedicke were married on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The daughter of Barbara H. Joedicke of Hobart, and the late James Joedicke, the bride is a 1988 South Kortright Central School graduate. She received her master's from the State University College at Stony Brook in 2006.
She holds the position of comptroller at the Audiosears Corp. in Stamford.
The son of David and Beverly Hartwell of Stamford, the groom graduated from Jefferson Central School in 1985, and is a 1990 Albany College of Pharmacy graduate.
He heads the Audiosears Corp. as vice president.
An afternoon double-ring ceremony was held at the Hobart United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bert More officiating.
The bride wore a full-length, strapless, diamond white couture satin gown complimented by a rhinestone-encrusted fingertip- length veil, and carried a ribbon-tied bouquet of pink and white hybrid Alex roses adorned with rhinestones.
Darby Hartwell of Stamford, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were the bride's brothers, Timothy Joedicke of Bloomville and Jeffrey Joedicke of Greenwich, Conn.
Dressed in horizon blue satin full-length gowns and carrying ribbon-tied bouquets of white mini-calla lilies and pink and white Alex roses, the bridesmaids were Christina Stickle of Bloomville, sister-in-law of the bride; Julia Joedicke of Greenwich, Conn., sister-in-law of the bride; and Donna Hartwell of Stamford, sister-in-law of the groom.
Connor James Joedicke of Bloomville, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. The groom's nieces, Lauren Ashley Hartwell and Shannon Darby Hartwell, both of Stamford, were flower girls.
During the ceremony, a reading was offered by Angela Moore of Stamford, close friend of the bride and groom. Organist Darrylin Dart of Jefferson and trumpeter Gary LaCalzi of Jefferson provided processional and recessional music for the bridal party. Selections included "Trumpet Voluntary," by Henry Purcell, and "The Wedding March," by Felix Mendelssohn. The bride performed the vocal selection "Got It Right This Time," by Keith Urban, during the ceremony.
Following the ceremony was an evening reception of dinner and dancing at the Schoharie Holiday Inn Express Garden Terrace Banquet Hall, which was decorated with floral arrangements and sprays of blue dendrobium orchids, white mini-calla lilies, pink and white Alex roses and blue hydrangea, designed by best man Darby Hartwell, owner of Stamford Greenhouses.
Following a honeymoon cruise to the Hawaiian Islands, the couple will make their home in Whiting Hollow in Stamford.
