Geidel - Hazzard

Walter and Barbara Geidel of Walton announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Geidel, to Matthew Hazzard, son of Edward and Patricia Hazzard of Cooperstown.

The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Walton Central School, earned her bachelor's degree in sport management in 2004 from the State University College at Cortland, and received her master's degree in education in 2007 from Elmira College. She is working for the National Junior College Athletic Association in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Her fiance, a 2000 graduate of Cooperstown Central School, also attended SUNY Cortland and earned his bachelor's degrees in sport management and business economics in 2004. He is working for the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The couple plan to marry in September.
