Sarah Elizabeth Magner and Joseph Michael Murphy are engaged to marry July 18 at 6 p.m. at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, Calif., with a reception to follow at Wedgewood Banquet Hall.

The bride-to-be was born and raised in San Jose, Calif., and graduated from Prospect High School in Saratoga, Calif., in 2003. She is a conferencing coordinator at Adobe Systems, Inc.

She is the daughter of Julie Magner of San Jose, Calif.

Her fiance grew up in Oneonta, and graduated from Oneonta High School in 2000. He attended the State University College of Agriculture and

Technology at Cobleskill and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in network administration.

He is a technical operations manager at Brand.net .

He is the son of Arthur and Deborah Murphy of Oneonta.

The couple met online as is the story today with many couples.

After a fun-filled, romantic courtship, he proposed on April 22 in Half Moon Bay, Calif.

The couple live in Mountain View, Calif.
