---- — The parents of Kaitlin M. Lavelle and Charles B. Ackley of Baltimore, Md., announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mark and Mariclaire Lavelle of Hershey, Pa. She is a 2005 graduate of Hershey High School, and a 2009 graduate of Penn State Nursing School in State College, Pa. She is a nurse in the PICU at Hershey Medical Center.
Her fiance, Charles “Chas” Ackley, is the son of Benjamin and Yvonne Ackley of Sidney. He is a 2005 graduate of Sidney High School and a 2009 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. He also received his master’s degree in public administration and athletics from West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. He is a physical education, health teacher and coach at the Crossroads School in Baltimore, Md.
The couple plan to marry on Nov. 3 in Hershey, Pa.
