George and Debbie Kiakis of Oneonta announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lee Kiakis, to Shane Andrew Finch, son of Bert and Sally Finch of Bainbridge.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Walton High School and Hartwick College. She received her master's degree in higher education administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and is employed as the director of judicial affairs for the State University College at Oneonta.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his degree in chemical engineering and holds a professional engineering license. He is employed at the New York State Department of Health, Oneonta District Office.
The couple plan an Oct. 27 wedding in Oneonta, and following a brief honeymoon, will make their home in Otego.
