COMMENTING ON STORIES:

5. Hate speech of any kind.
6. Intolerant comments on religion, race, age, gender, sexual preference or disabilities.
7. Accusations of criminal activity.
8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND OR TERMINATE ACCESS FOR:

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross will conduct several first aid and CPR classes in Oneonta in December. To register for these classes, call 785-7027. The schedule is as follows;

A CPR and Automated External Defibrillator class for adults, children and infants will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Participants will learn how to handle breathing and cardiac emergencies for all ages. The cost is $60.

A Childcare First Aid class will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8. This class is free to licensed child-care providers, and will cover a variety of first aid skills.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20. The class will provide certification for professional rescuers, including skills in responding to victims of breathing and cardiac emergencies. The cost is $70.

A first aid class will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, offering basic knowledge and skills in first aid. The cost is $40.
