Two officials from the Foothills Performing Arts Center told an audience of 15 about plans for the proposed 618-seat theater to be built on Market Street in Oneonta.
Doug Reeser, chairman of the Building Committee, reviewed blue prints and pointed out different areas of the site during a forum April 3.
Diane Elliott, executive director of Foothills Performing Arts Center, discussed funding for the project and said a campaign kickoff and groundbreaking are planned tentatively to be in June. The center needs to raise $1 million toward the $7 million project, she said, and there will be other forums during the 18-month construction period.
Plans call for the theater curtain to be ready to rise on shows next summer, officials said.
