COMMENTING ON STORIES:

Coinciding with our websites redesign, we launched our new story comments feature through Disqus.

Demolition makes way for Walgreens



Mike Winters of BCL Demolition of Renssellaer uses an excavator to tear down the former Iannelli’s Restaurant as demolition got underway at the site of the future Walgreen’s drug store, planned for Chestnut Street, at the intersection of West Street. Julius Gintli, project manager for Plank L.L.C. of Schenectady said the buildings and resulting debris at the site are expected to be cleared by Nov. 10. The building is projected to be completed in six months, he said.
