NORWICH _ The Auxiliary to Chenango Memorial Hospital has canceled its annual Breakfast with Santa at the hospital because of the recent outbreak of H1N1 flu, according to a media release.
The event was to be scheduled Dec. 5.
Janet Mirabito, the event’s chairwoman, stated in the release that, “We are sorry that we cannot proceed with this festive annual event, which attracts hundreds of local children each year. However, we need to help safeguard the health of our children and the rest of our community.
“Our current plans are to resume the event next December,” Mirabito continued.
