Street Talk: November 9, 2009

Question of the week: It has been a little more than a year since President Barack Obama was elected into office. How do you think he is doing?

“I think it’s a little early to tell. I think so much has happened with our economic situation, and I feel our economy is doing better. But long term, it’s pretty hard to tell what is going to happen. I don’t think we can really say if he’s doing a good or bad job yet.”

“In his first year, I think he’s doing pretty good, to be honest with you. He’s been trying to clean up Bush’s mess. He came in with water over his head; he was already drowning before he stepped through the door. So I think he’s dealing with it well. I’d like to see him hold his word about keeping gas prices down, though.”

“I think he’s doing better than the last president we had. I’m not really involved with politics, but he’s doing better than Bush, who just caused problems.
