Street Talk for June 15, 2009

Question of the week: What is your all-time favorite movie, and why?

“I don’t really watch a lot of movies, but ‘Days of Thunder’ was alright. It was the one with Tom Cruise in it. I liked that movie because of the racing in it.”

— Leroy Effner, contractor, Delhi

“Oh, I liked the movie ‘Face Off’ with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta. I liked that movie and both of them.”

— Debra Bernard, decentdinners.com personal chef, Cooperstown

“I’d say ‘Friday Night Lights.’ I like football and the movie reminds me of high school. So close, yet so far away … ya know?”

— Robert Utter, dairy farmer, Richfield Springs

“I like a lot of movies. Probably the ‘Dark Knight’ because it’s kind of dark and morbid and that’s my style. It’s cool; I like `Batman,’ too.”

— Deborah Smith, baseball camp staff, Oneonta

“I liked the movie ‘Mall Cop.’ I liked the part where he gets hurt and puts a Hello Kitty bandaid on his arm.”

— Robert Herbst, student, Margaretville

“I liked `The Bourne Triology’ with Matt Damon. All the action, adventure and fighting. The fast movement and punching. It was cool to see how it all fit together in the end, especially between him and that female character.”

— Michelle Herbst, Margaretville
