In Matthew 6:33, Jesus said, "but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
I heard a story about a chicken and a pig that were walking down the road. They walked by a farmer's house and discovered that the farmer was starving. "What do we do?" the pig asked the chicken.
"Don't worry" said the chicken, "the farmer will be OK, and you and I will feed him.
"What do you mean?" asked the pig.
"Oh, it's simple," said the chicken, "I'll provide the eggs, and you provide the bacon."
The meaning to this story is that it was convenient for the chicken to providing the eggs, while the pig required real commitment himself!
What's the message for today in this topsy-turvy world we live in?
It is a radical commitment to Jesus Christ!
Jesus instructed the church to "seek first the Kingdom of God." There is a good reason why Jesus said that, our part is to "seek first" and God's part is meeting your needs.
Many people look to man to fix the mess we are in but they forget it was man that got us into this mess to begin with.
God is saying to us: "if you would only look to me and put your faith and trust in what I can do."
Proverbs 3:5-6 says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Seeking God is trusting him, leaning upon him, and acknowledging him and he will direct your life in the right path. That's a promise from your creator, and God does not lie!
If you give God first place in everything, you will be free from the worries of all your tomorrows.
You can be a first-place Christian by seeking God first.
First-place Christians are able to enjoy life better because of God's inward peace and that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Now I am not saying you are going to live in a perfect world.
That's impossible because we live in an imperfect world, and we are imperfect people, but there is one who is perfect and that is Jesus Christ; he is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Now the question that is most often asked is, "How many things does Jesus want to be first place in?"
The answer to that is simple: ALL THINGS! "Seek first the Kingdom of God."
Are you willing to be like that pig in the story mentioned at the beginning of the article?
Now God isn't asking you to sacrifice your physical body to be food for someone else, but he is asking ,Will you die to the old sinful nature and live a life pleasing to God?
Read the Bible daily, pray, find a good church that teaches the Bible and learn to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

What does election in Rome mean to world?
On Thursday at 2 p.m. Eastern time, a white-clad figure lifted off in a helicopter from a green pad in the smallest nation-state of the world. This lift-off was historic. The 265th successor of Peter left the office of Bishop of Rome, which carries with it the title of supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Benedict XVI -- the enigmatic theologian pope -- became Pope Emeritus Benedict XIV. An era ended.
