Henry D. ‘Harry’ Bonne
BOVINA CENTER _ Henry D. “Harry” Bonne, 72, of Bovina Center, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
He was born on March 21, 1940, in Jamaica, Queens, the son of Henry and Edith (Osmond) Bonne.
He married Ann Picariello on May 19, in Merrick.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Harry was employed as a dock builder in NYC, retiring at 57. He and his wife, Ann have been residents of Bovina for 20 years.
Harry never let a day go by without reading the NY Times. He was fond of his family pets and often spent time around his Koi fish pond. He loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; three sons, Glenn Bonne, Eric and Lisa Bonne, and Nial and Kimberly Bonne; six grandchildren, Joseph, Michelle, Nicole, Matthew, Haeli and Sierra; one great-grandson, Aiden; one brother, Robert Bonne; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Judy Lodato.
Friends are invited to greet the family from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main St., Delhi.
There will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
Donations in Harry’s memory are asked to be made to the Bovina Fire Department and Emergency Squad.
