8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

JASPER, Ga. _ Mrs. Karen Gardner, 68, of Jasper, Ga., formerly of South New Berlin, passed away at her residence Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gardner, South New Berlin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynette and Chris Purves, Cumming, Ga., and Alicia and Wade Miles, Canton, Ga.; one stepbrother and wife, Jeffrey and Amy Gardner, Oneonta; five grandchildren, Caitlin Miles, Emily Purves, Amethyst, Tiffany and Brandon Gardner.

A memorial service will be at her farm in Jasper at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27, surrounded by the plants and flowers she cherished throughout her lifetime.
