10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

OTEGO _ Eric Jason Jones, 28, of Otego, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 9, 2012.

He was born March 6, 1984, to Brenda (Mason) and Ernest Jones in Norwich.

Eric is survived by a daughter, Vayda; mother, Brenda Carson, Greene; father, Ernest Jones and his wife, Patricia, Bainbridge; maternal grandparents, Kathleen and Charles Knight, Lebanon, Pa.; brothers, Arnold Carson III and Alycia Cleaveland, Otego, Jacob Carson, Norwich, Joey Hitt, New Berlin, Kyle Carson, Bainbridge, Courtney Applegate, Oneonta; sisters, Amber Lynn Carson, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Tanya Phillips, Herndon, Va.; stepbrother, Barry Stark, Lakewood, Wash.; stepsister, Casandra Nichols, Davie, Fla.; stepfather, Arnold Carson Jr., Bainbridge; uncles, Robert Mason, Chadwicks, Herb Mason, Oneonta, John Mason, Gloversville, Joe Jones, Oneonta; aunts, Cathy Wilcox, Oneonta, Pam Herbert, Arkansas, Joyce Foster, Unadilla; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney.
