Franklin W. Collins
STAMFORD — Franklin W. Collins, 74, of Stamford, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Hobart, the son of Smith and Annise (Harrington) Collins.
He married Anna Meeghan on Jan. 26, 1957.
A lifelong area resident Frank was a butcher for Parnett’s Packing, Bloomville, for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anna at home; a daughter, Diane (Dee) and Butch of Stamford; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Merwin, Crystal Wells and Drew Presley, Brittany (Joe) Bevilacqua, Karlie and Clayton Collins, and Tracey Budd and Robby Wells, and grandson, Ace; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Abby, Noah, Marlie, Payton, Jadyn, Rosie, Joseph, Kyle, Taylor and Zac. Also survived by his siblings, Eddie (Shirley) Collins, Betty Dudley, Dorothy Accurso, Patty (Jay) Hasbrouck and Sue Steadman; and many nieces and nephews; very special friends, Mary and Buddy Reed; and special friend, Gerald Warner.

His mother and father, Annise and Smith Collins; and sister, Linda Mondore predeceased him.
Calling hours will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Hobart Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bert More officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
