Nancy Baird Bingaman
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ Nancy Baird Bingaman, 81, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012, in Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, due to sepsis and complications of COPD.
She was born in Oneonta on July 10, 1930, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Baird.
Nancy married Lawrence Eugene Bingaman and raised their four children in Trevose/Bensalem, Pa. She was a role model working Mom at Howard Johnson's, Bell Telephone, and Sears (Neshaminy Mall).
In 1975, she returned to Oneonta with two of her children, Tom and Laurie. She enjoyed life in Oneonta with many friends, family and fun times at Good Year Lake. She retired from Fox Hospital in 1985, and moved to Jacksonville, Fla., where she owned and operated a dry cleaning and laundry business with her brother, Bill Baird, and son, Tom Bingaman. In the 1990s she worked for Methodist (Shands) Hospital and LBK. After her second retirement, she enjoyed her life with her children and grandchildren through water activities, family dinners, and JAX life's many pleasures.
Nancy is survived by her children, Deborah (Frank) DeRosa of Nazareth, Pa., Tom Bingaman, and Laurie (Ron) Juhan, both of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Rachel Bingaman Ludwig of Bensalem, Pa., Lance Bingaman of Atlanta, Ga., Jesse Bingaman of Nazareth, Pa., Lynea Parrella of JAX, and Mykala Juhan of Baltimore, Md.; great-grandchildren, Lily, Jocelin and John of Bensalem, Pa., and Tye of JAX; and her youngest brother, Terry Baird of St. Augustine, Fla. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephew; including her brother, Tom's family near Buffalo; her brother, Butch's daughter, Kathy Baird's family in Atlanta, Ga.; and her brother, Terry's family in St. Augustine, Fla.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Tom Baird, Bruce (Butch) Baird and William (Bill) Baird; and her oldest son, Lance A. Bingaman Sr.
Nancy requested that there be no services but that each of us stays close to our families first and be thoughtful to others as we pass through this life. She will be greatly missed by each of her children and her loving family.
