Elsie M. Ryder

WORCESTER -- Elsie M. Ryder, 82, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on Feb. 7, 1930, in Preble, the daughter of Harvey B. and Harriet (Kinney) Lewis.

Elsie married Joseph O. Eager on Aug. 5, 1950, in Newburgh. He predeceased her on April 3, 1987.

She married Roscoe Ryder on Oct. 29, 1994, in Worcester.

Elsie is survived by her husband, Roscoe; her children, Joe and Andrea, Bruce, Diane, Rose and Ed, Dale and Elaine and Debbie and Burt; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Sara and Reta.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Francis, Irving and an infant brother, and her sisters, Inez and Helen.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place in the East Worcester Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Elsie to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Ave., Oneonta, NY 13820.
