David W. Butts

SIDNEY -- David W. Butts, 64, of Sidney, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012, at the Samuel Stratton Veterans Hospital, following a long illness.

David was born in Bainbridge on Sept. 10, 1947, the son of the late Norris and Lena Darlin Butts. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He lived in Hallsville, Texas, for about 20 years before returning to Sidney.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, the History Channel and playing Pitch with his family and friends.

David is survived by his children, William (Paula) Butts, Georgia; Chelsea Butts and Samantha Butts, both of Texas and Susan Butts of Florida.; several grandchildren; brothers, Graydon (June) Butts, Masonville; sister, Louise Eggleston, Bainbridge; and his companion, Jeanett Krol, Sidney; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Janet and Betty; a brother, Donald; and a brother-in-law, Donald Eggleston.

A graveside service will be held in Masonville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
