8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

STAMFOR — A memorial service for Norman Robert Swenson, D.C., 85, of Stamford, who died Oct. 11, 2012, will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 126 Route 10, Stamford, with Deacon Glenn Schermerhorn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 126 Route 10, Stamford, NY, 12167, Village of Stamford Tree Board, c/o Richard Hinaman at Stamford Village Hall, 84 Main St. or RA Robinson Rescue Squad, Stamford.

Condolences for the family may be left online at www.macarthurfh.com.

Arrangements are by the MacArthur Funeral Home of Hobart.
