Michael G. Laiosa
SEBRING, Fla. _ Michael G. Laiosa, 47, of Sebring, Fla., died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Florida Hospital Heartland, Sebring, Fla.
He was born Oct. 22, 1964, in Staten Island, the son of Jack M. and Agnes (Procida) Laiosa.
Michael lived in Valrico, Fla., for 16 years before moving back to Sebring. He was a graduate of Sebring High School Class of 1982, and had a BS degree in education and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a lieutenant for the Lorida Volunteer Fire Department, an avid outdoorsman and a member of the River Ranch Hunting Club.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes of Sebring, Fla.; brothers, John of Sebring, Fla., and Mario of Madison, Ohio; sister, Ann of Sebring, Fla.; and significant other, Heather Sparks.
He was predeceased by his father on May 29, 2001.
Calling hours will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, with Father Michael Cambi, as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.
