Harry Wallace Jr.

GRAND GORGE -- Harry Wallace Jr., 88, formerly of Grand Gorge, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, his residence for the last three years.

Born May 30, 1924, in North Blenheim, son of Harry Wallace Sr. and Anna Meeker of North Blenheim, he served the United States Navy during WW II from 1943 to 1946. He retired from the U.S. Naval Depot, Scotia.

Harry will be remembered with love by his son, Gilbert; his sisters, Alice Harris and her husband, Peter of Grand Gorge, Bertha Grippin of North Blenheim; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial and graveside service will be held Friday, Aug. 3, in the Fairview Cemetery, Grand Gorge.

Donations may be made in Harry's name to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 116 Main St., Delhi, NY 13753.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall-Tari Funeral Home, Stamford, under the direction of William A. Tari.
