Claude H. Davis Jr.

EDMESTON -- Claude H. Davis Jr., 45, of Edmeston, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, with his family by his side.

He was born Feb. 1, 1967, in Cooperstown the son of Claude H. Davis Sr. and Eva Ellen (Carney) Davis. He married Victoria Rose Dec. 24, 1987.

Claude loved logging. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and thoroughly enjoyed being on his boat in Canajoharie Lake. Claude loved being with his family, the family gatherings, the cookouts and playing volleyball.

His wife Victoria; his children, Rose Davis, Claude H. Davis III, Jacqalyn Towndrow (Casey) and Amber Davis; his grandchildren, Casey Towndrow Jr., Cotter Towndrow and Brayden Towndrow; his parents, Claude and Eva Davis Sr.; his brothers, Dale D. Davis, Rocky W. Davis, Clarence C. Davis (Kathy) and John J. Davis (Shaundra); and numerous nieces and nephews survive Claude.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, with the Rev. Stephen Reese officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery.

Contributions may be made in Claude Jr.'s memory to the Edmeston Fire Department.
