Jeanette M. Kelsey
DELHI -- Jeanette M. Kelsey, 80, a Delhi native, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, the result of a July 3 auto accident.
She was born July 1, 1932, in Delhi, the daughter of Roland R. and Catherine J. (Cameron) Kelsey and served in the Women's Army Corps (1951 to 54), with the rank of Corporal.
A graduate of Delaware Academy, she received her formal education at Rider College, Trenton, N.J., and also received airline training at Hartford, Conn.
Jeanette worked for many years for American Airlines, as a reservations supervisor in New York City and Dallas, Texas, retiring in 1997, when she returned to Delhi.
Surviving are her niece, Patricia Kelsey Thompson, Rowlett, Texas; nephew, J. David Kelsey, Delhi; sister-in-law, Ruth F. Kelsey, Delhi; close friend, Karin Forsberg, Franklin, N.H.; and several cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her brother, J. Russell Kelsey (2010).
Visitation is at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug 2, followed by services at 2 p.m. at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi, with the Rev. Jeffrey Staples officiating. Burial will be later in Woodland Cemetery.
