Michael John Fusco
MORRIS -- Michael John Fusco, 81, of Morris, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born one of 13 children on Sept. 25, 1930, in the Bronx to parents, Cosmo Fusco and Mary Marzigliano. He attended school in the Bronx and joined the United States Navy at the age of 21.
Michael married Giovanna Ciaccia in Bietto Italy in 1955. The couple recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Michael was a beautician by occupation and owned and operated Giovanna's Salon in City Island. He was a singer, actor, photographer, artist and gardener. He enjoyed living in Morris for the past 23 years and treasured the many friendships he made in the community. Michael loved the country and painted its scenic views.
Michael is survived by his wife, Giovanna; two sons, Antonio Fusco and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth of Kings Park and Frank Fusco of Morris; daughter, Anna Maria Muriqi and son-in-law, Arber of Yorktown Heights; four siblings; nine grandchildren; and 55 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Cosmo Fusco and eight siblings.
Services will be held in New York City with a memorial service to be held at Holy Cross Church in Morris at a later date.
