8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.

Gary L. Sherwood

ONEONTA _ Gary L. Sherwood, 53, of Oneonta, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2012, due to natural causes.

Gary was born on Nov. 29, 1958, in New Berlin, the son of Nancy (Whitacre) and William Sherwood.

Gary graduated from high school at Edmeston Central School in 1976, and attended Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach. Gary had over 35 years of employment in the food service industry in the states of Rhode Island and Florida.

Gary is survived by his parents, Nancy and William Sherwood; his brother and sister, Michael Sherwood and Rebecca Moriarty; his niece and two nephews, Kayla, Corey and Cameron Moriarty; and his uncles, aunts and cousins.

Gary will be remembered forever by those who loved him.

Gary's funeral will be held at his family's convenience.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Edmeston Emergency Squad.
