Neil Aubrey Potter
EAST SYRACUSE -- Neil Aubrey Potter, 72, of East Syracuse, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Crouse Hospital after a long illness.
Neil was born May 12, 1940, in Herkimer, to Maude and Raymond Potter Sr.
Neil grew up on a farm in Burlington Flats and graduated from Edmeston Central School. He was the owner/operator of Farm and Home Fuel Company for 20 years. He was also owner/operator of a 7UP distributorship.
Neil is survived by his wife of 11 years, Judith of East Syracuse. He is also survived by his three sons by Mary Eckert Potter, Jeff (Michele) Potter of Connecticut, Jonathan Potter of Burlington Flats, Jeremy (Lauren) Potter of Syracuse; one stepdaughter, Mary-Jo (Bob) Murawski of East Syracuse; two siblings, Diane Zwosta of California and Phil Potter of Florida; two grandchildren, Nicole Potter of Connecticut, and Madison Murawski of East Syracuse; as well as other loving family and close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Raymond Potter Jr.
Neil was a beloved member of the Syracuse East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1900 W. Fayette St" Syracuse. Family and friends are invited for refreshments after the service.
