Stanley Lester Squires Jr. and Edna Mary Squires

MARGARETVILLE — Committal services for Stanley Lester Squires Jr. and Edna Mary Squires of Sun City, Fla., and formerly of Margaretville, will be held in the Margaretville Cemetery Annex, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, with Shirley Davis officiating.

Stan was born July 29, 1947, in Margaretville, the son of Stanley Lester and Elsa (Timer) Squires. He died July 29, 2012.

He graduated from Margaretville Central School in 1965. Stanley was predeceased by his first wife, Maria Segnini and his second wife, Edna White.

Survivors are his sister, Sandra Tether of Sun City Center, Fla., and North Rose; three brothers, William Squires of Sun City West, Ariz., Chan Squires and John Squires of Margaretville; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and many cousins.

Edna Mary Squires died May 27, 2012. She was born April 13, 1944, in Staten Island, the daughter of Edward and Edna Zebrowski.

Surviving are her daughter, Laura McCabe of Bradenton, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Kaitlin McCabe of Acton, Mass., Cary Villatoro of Bradenton, Fla, and Chad, Randall and Savannah Villatoro of Northport, Fla.

Edna was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Sharon L. Villatoro.

Following the graveside service on Saturday there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Margaretville Pavilion.

Committal services are under the direction of the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
