The Daily Star — ONEONTA _ David M. Jessup Jr., of Oneonta, passed away on Tuesday, at the A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.

David was born in Southampton, the son of the late David M. and Irma I. (Kuitunen) Jessup Sr. He married Luise Catella.

David was a graduate of Morrisville Tech and was a self-employed machinist. For a period of time he worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Wash. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

David will be sorely missed by his friends at No Place.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Luise Jessup; his children, John (Judy) of Great Falls, Mont., and Jessica (Shawn) of Oneonta; his grandchildren, Van and Colby. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine and her children, Melinda, Jamie and Tammy; and four great-nieces; and several cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
