Dorothy M. Nicholson Braune

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. _ Dorothy M. Nicholson Braune of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012.

She was formerly from Carmel and Westford.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Nicholson and Raymond Braune.

She was a devoted mother of Barbara Anderson and her husband, Leonard of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Dorothy Kirkpatrick and her husband, Tom of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., Evelyn Bolton and her husband, Larry of Schenevus, Wayne Nicholson and his wife, Colleen of Clay; the loving grandmother of William, Michael and Thomas Anderson; Julie, Sara and Teresa Kirkpatrick; Harmony Payne-Favo, Justin Payne, Desirae Payne, Donald Bolton, Meredith and Shannon Powers. Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy had been a telephone operator for United Airlines, the U.S. Customs House, NYC, NY Telephone and Telegraph for many years; she also worked at Del Labs, Doubleday Books, and Natcon Chemical on Long Island, before retiring in 1988 from Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge, N.J. Interment in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
