Franklin W. Collins
STAMFORD — Franklin W. Collins, 74, of Stamford, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at home. He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Hobart, N.Y., the son of Smith and Annise (Harrington) Collins.
Jan. 26, 1957 he married Anna Meeghan.
A lifelong area resident Frank was a butcher for Parnett’s Packing, Bloomville, N.Y., for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anna at home; a daughter, Diane (Dee) and Butch of Stamford; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Merwin, Crystal Wells and Drew Presley, Brittany (Joe) Bevilacqua, Karlie and Clayton Collins, and Tracey Budd and Robby Wells; great grandchildren, Hayley, Abby, Noah, Marlie, Payton, Jadyn, Rosie, Joseph, Kyle, Taylor and Zac. Also his siblings, Eddie (Shirley) Collins, Betty Dudley, Dorothy Accurso, Patty (Jay) Hasbrouck and Sue Steadman, and many nieces and nephews. And very special friends Mary and Buddy Reed.

His mother and father, Annise and Smith Collins, and sister Linda Mondore predeceased him.
Calling hours will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, N.Y. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Hobart Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
