Heather Joy Turner
1961-2012
The bright spirit that was Heather left us for a better place Aug. 13, 2012.
She is survived by her beloved son, Cameron Lee Grose; mother and stepfather, Tamara and Joseph Jaudon Jr.; father and stepmother, Robin and Hilda Turner; sister, Holly McConnell; niece and nephew, Madison and Ryun McConnell; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Jennifer Turner; bonus family, Joseph III, Angelique and Joseph IV Jaudon; Jenifer, Neil, Ann-Beth, Joshua and Joseph Sandberg; uncle, James E. Turner, Cooperstown; an aunt, Tonya (William) Blair, Mesa, Ariz.; and an army of relatives and dear friends.
She was born in Denver , moved with her family to Dallas, Texas, and then to Hobart , where she graduated from South Kortright Central School. She returned to Denver, graduating from Metropolitan State College and the University of Denver College of Law.
She served at the Adams County District Attorney's Office, rising to Chief Trial Deputy D.A., as a fearless prosecutor, for 16 years.
Heather faced great challenges with her mental health the last years of her life, but her warrior spirit kept her rising time after time, until she finally lost the battle.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Fairmount Mortuary Chapel, 430 South Quebec, Denver, Colo.
