9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.

Timothy Mowers

AFTON — Timothy Mowers, 56, of Afton, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 8, 2012, at his home.

He leaves behind a son, Shawn Mowers of Afton, a daughter, Heather (Gary) Bennett of Walton, two grandsons, Jamie Sophie of Walton and Devin Sherman of Bainbridge, brother David (Patti) Mowers, Rochester and brother, Mark Mowers, nieces, nephews and several cousins.

Tim worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Binghamton for over 20 years. He loved working with his hands, watching movies and antique cars. He was brilliant and a highly skilled electrician, he will be missed dearly.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
