William A. Krause
COBLESKILL (Schoharie County) — William A. Krause, 48, of Grosvenor’s Corners Road, died suddenly Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his residence.
William was born May 2, 1964, in Cobleskill, a son of John and Jacqueline (Nethaway) Krause.
He was a graduate of the former Cobleskill High School and SUNY Cobleskill, where he received a degree in turf grass management. Mr. Krause served as head greenskeeper at Cobleskill Golf & Country Club for many years. He was a golf enthusiast, an avid reader and loved his dog, Vasili.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Jackie Krause of Howes Cave; one son, Keith Krause of California; his siblings, Josephine Krause Proctor, Franja Keller, both of Cobleskill, Charles Krause of Worcester, Charlene King of Cobleskill and Amanda Porath of Howes Cave; several nieces and nephews and grandnieces; along with a grandson, Coa.
A graveside memorial service for friends and family will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 26, in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie.
