Kenneth B. Coats

BLOOMVILLE -- Kenneth B. Coats, 77, formerly of Bloomville, passed away at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell, on Wednesday June 20, 2012.

Ken was a retired mechanic employed by the New York State Department of Transportation for 34 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty; one son, Randy Coats and Cathy DeNovellis; and a grandson, Brandon Coats. He is also survived by two sisters, Marian Prindle and Althea Gyidik and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Myron and Flossie Coats; daughter, Vicky Lee Coats; brothers, Raymond, Ardo, Kelly and Albert Coats; and his sister, Esther Jean Stiefel.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 24, from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St., Endicott. The family will receive callers at the home from noon until service time Sunday.

Burial and graveside services are at 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, in the Bloomville Cemetery, Bloomville.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
