Marjorie Munson Hitchcock
LARGO, Fla. -- Marjorie Munson Hitchcock, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Morton Plant Hospital, Largo, Fla., following a brief illness.
She was born March 15, 1930, daughter of George W. and Anna Goodsell in Meredith. She lived most of her life in the Delhi area and Scotia.
Marjorie was a graduate of Delaware Academy, Delhi. She was active in many musicals, including summer programs at Hartwick College. She was a member of the Meredith Baptist Church and also attended the Delhi Communtiy Church.
She was married to Kenneth E. Hitchcock, who predeceased her last August.
Marjorie was employed by many fine restaurants in the Scotia and Schenectady areas, including the Van Dyke.
She is survived by four children, David Hitchcock of Scotia, Steven Hitchcock of Largo, Fla., Mary Buresh of Hanson, Mass., and Joseph (Cheryl) Mondillo of East Greenbush; three grandchildren, Joseph Buresh, Joseph and Johnathan Mondillo; a sister, Ruth M. Rogers of Oneonta and Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was also predeceased by her siblings, Loren, Lynn, Milton, Clifton, Ralph and Glen Munson, Evelyn Van Kleeck, Agnes Jester and Martha Kessler.
Viewing hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, at the White Funeral Home, Route 50, Ballston Avenue, Scotia. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, also at the funeral home, followed by burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
