Katherine Mary Lewis

UNADILLA _ Katherine Mary Lewis passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, after a lengthy illness. She was 69.

She was born on Jan. 13, 1943, to the late Joseph P. Sullivan and Maria A. White in Middletown.

She married the late Henry E. McAllister on May 1, 1966. She later married David F. Lewis on Feb. 6, 1986. Besides her father; and first husband; she was predeceased by her brother, Edgar P. Sullivan; and in-laws, Agnes Lewis and Franklin P. Lewis.

Katherine is survived by her mother, Maria A. Sullivan; husband, David F. Lewis; daughter, Marylouise (Kevin) Dygert; grandson, Christopher Dygert; sisters-in-law, Gloria Sullivan and Sissy (Ferris) Tomer; nieces, Tracy (Willie) Gonzales and Maria Sullivan; nephews, Joseph (Lisa), Patrick and Nicholas Sullivan; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt. She is also survived by a special long-time friend, Maureen O'Day; and her beloved yellow lab, Maggie.

A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Baptist Church in Middlefield, with a small gathering to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathie's name may be made to the Sidney Library, 8 River St., Sidney, NY 13838.
