Marjorie Peck
DELHI _ Marjorie Peck, 68, of Delhi, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1944, in Delhi, the daughter of John and Marguerite (Bush) Bellino.
She married Frank Peck at the Suit-Us Farms. Arnold Truscott performed the service.
Marge was employed as a Food Service Supervisor at the State University of New York at Delhi for 26 years. Before SUNY, she was a certified beautician who had a shop in Andes and continued to work out of her family home.
Marge enjoyed various hobbies that involved flowers. She completed numerous embroidered pictures of flowers which she displayed at the Delaware County Fair; many received ribbons. During the spring and summer months, Marge spent time outside in her flower gardens. If not in her garden, she was at East Sidney Dam camping, boating, fishing, cooking out, and spending loving time with her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved to spoil them.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Peck; two sons, Richard J. (Lisa) Sackett and Joseph Sackett; and one daughter, Tracy (Jeremy) Dean; four grandchildren, Danielle and Ethan-Jon Sackett, and Katie and Logan Dean; two sisters, Joan LaFever and Deborah (Thomas) Hulse; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Rose (Dwight) Brockway; one brother, Jack (Vicki) Bellino; and one grandchild, Dominic Mitchell Birdsall-Sackett.
Marge's family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Patty Jacob and the doctors and nurses at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
A graveside memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, in Andes Cemetery, Andes, with the Rev. Bert More officiating. There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in Marge's name are asked to be made to Catskill Area Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
