PITTSFIELD — Lori A. VanDyke, 51, of Pittsfield, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Oneonta, the daughter of Clifford Pickens and Sally (Colburn) Pickens.
She married Jeff VanDyke on July 19, 1980, in the United Methodist Church of Morris.
Lori was employed by New York Central Mutual of Edmeston for 30 years.
She enjoyed playing cards, music, dancing, riding UTV, going out to eat, camping, boating, traveling and going to her grandchildren’s ball games. Lori had a deep love for her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Lori is survived by her husband, Jeff VanDyke; her sons, Jeff VanDyke and wife June, and Cody VanDyke and his wife, Hannah; her mother, Sally Pickens; her grandchildren, Austin VanDyke, Brenya Post-VanDyke and Dylan Emrich; her sisters, Lindora Molloy (Mike) and Cindy Pickens (Don); her brothers, Lenny Pickens (Monica), and Mark Pickens (Eva); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Clifford Pickens; and her daughter, Jeri VanDyke.
At Lori’s request, there will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
