Edward J. Henn

WESTFORD _ Edward J. Henn, 88, passed away at home on Sept. 3, 2012, after a long illness.

Edward was born on Nov. 25, 1923, in Valley Stream.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II in North Africa and Italy, as a military police officer.

Throughout his life he was involved in agriculture, and owned his own nursery both on Long Island and in Westford.

Edward is survived by Julia Henn, his wife of 64 years; sons, Robert (Jane) Henn and Peter (Theresa) Henn; daughter, Kathleen (Jerry) Koehler; daughter-in-law, Sheila Henn; grandchildren, Amy Beth Decker, Alexander (Lauren) Henn, William Henn, Bradley (Elizabeth) Henn, Alana Koehler; and great-grandchildren, Emilie and Juliana Decker and Kaitlyn Henn. He is also survived by his brother Frank (Etta) Henn; and sisters, Margaret O'Keefe and Mary Wisniski.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
