HAMDEN — Pasquale C. “Pat” Possemato, 89, a longtime resident of Hamden, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 27, 2012, at home, surrounded by his family, following a long illness.

Pat was born on March 16, 1923 in Cadosia, the son of the late Carl and Philomenia Meoli Possemato. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

On July 8, 1950, he married the former Barbara Wood-Wahl. Pat was a member of the Delhi American Legion, and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Oneonta. Pat was employed for many years at Del-Met in the maintenance department, and he also owned and operated Tiny’s Bar & Grill, Hamden.

Pat enjoyed cutting firewood, hunting, refurbishing old farm houses and woodworking. He also loved family reunions and picnics.

Pat is survived by his loving family, his wife, Barbara; his children, Lisa and Walter Kinch of Walton, Rocco “Rocky” and Lori Possemato of Walton; Anthony and Darlene Possemato of St. Johnsville; grandchildren, Rocky, LeeAnn, Brenda, Marco, James, Travis, Tia, Thorn, Alycia, Anthony II, Robert, Tiffany and Kiara; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Carmela Wahl of Hancock; two brothers, Anthony and Peg Possemato of Walton, and Carl Possemato of Biloxi, Miss.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat was predeceased by two children, Robert Wahl and Rosalyn Pegas; a grandson, Devin Kinch and Howard Owens; brothers, Marco and Rocco; his sisters, Irene, Theresa and Marguerite.

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
