WORCESTER _ Mary H. (Kobe) Davis, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Chestnut Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Oneonta.
She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in New York City. In 1920, she moved to Decatur with her late parents, Frank and Ursula (Panter) Kobe.
On April 27, 1935, she married her late husband, John Davis Jr., and they moved to Worcester.
Mary was employed for several years at the State University College of Agriculture and Technology in Cobleskill from which she retired in 1979.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and St. Joseph’s Altar Rosary Society.
Mary is survived by a son, Robert Davis and spouse, Mildred of Worcester; a daughter, Patricia Worley and spouse, Michael of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Her family thanks the staff at Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a Rosary service starting at noon Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, Worcester. The funeral Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 201 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM, as celebrant.
Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be in the spring.
