Gerald R. Snyder Jr.

JEFFERSON — Mr. Gerald R. Snyder, 70, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at home.

He was born July 15, 1942, in Roxbury, the son of Gerald Sr., and Marguerite (Layman) Snyder. He married Wanda C. Payne on June 26, 1960.

He was owner and operator of the East End Garage for 40 years.

His interest and hobbies included: work, flying, tinkering on antique cars, and outside yardwork. He enjoyed being with family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda C. Snyder; two sons, Randy R. Snyder and fiancee Beth Sieger, Patrick E. Snyder and wife Kimberly; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Jodie, Patrick, Nicholas, Dakota, Denver, Austin; three great-grandchildren, Izac, Alyssa, Grifyn; and three sisters, Alice, Betty and Charlotte.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date in the fall (around Thanksgiving).
