10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.

Dr. Jarvis E. Hyzer

OTEGO _ Dr. Jarvis E. Hyzer of Otego and Vero Beach, Fla., died Saturday morning, July 7, 2012.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1930, in Franklin, the son of Harold and Hazel Hyzer.

A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. July 21, 2012, at St. James' Episcopal Church. Following the service there will be a luncheon in the Great Hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
