STAMFORD — Michael E. Lopez, 56, passed away at his home in Stamford on Saturday, Oct.20, 2012.

Michael was born July 17, 1956, to Miguel and Lucia Lopez in Valencia, Spain.

He has been a resident of Stamford for the past 17 years, where his talent as a chief was showcased at Jelly Bellies, where he found joy in serving his customers.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joyce; his son, Michael; granddaughter, Taygan; his mother, Lucia Lopez; his sister, Eva; and brother, Javier. His family and friends were his riches.

Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Hall-Tari Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Stamford. A service will follow in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. with Father Michael Cambi, officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall-Tari Funeral Home under the direction of William A. Tari.
