11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.

NEW BERLIN _ Ruth L. Brooks died Feb. 19, 2012.

She was the mother of Ardel Redmond, Susan Gay and Karen Kister.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main St., Broadalbin, NY 12025. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Linda Martin presiding. Interment will be in Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chase Memorial Nursing Home Activities Department, P.O. Box 250, New Berlin, NY 13411.
