Betty Lou Tobin
ROXBURY _ Betty Lou Tobin, lifelong resident of Roxbury, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
She was born March 9, 1930, at Roxbury, the daughter of William and Rita (Ploutz) Mattice. Betty Lou married James Tobin on Oct. 13, 1946, at Roxbury.
She graduated from Roxbury Central School in 1948. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Roxbury. Betty Lou was well-known for her singing, playing the piano and organ.
She is survived by her husband, James Tobin; twins, Jackie and Jerry and their spouses, Dennis and Linda; and daughter, Sandy and her husband, Timothy; grandchildren, DJ, Amy, Steve and Megan; and two great-grandchildren; sister, Elise Kraemer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra, officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June, 14, 2012, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
Donations in memory of Betty Lou Tobin may be made to the Roxbury Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
