12. Typing in all caps.

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.

Florence K. Johnson

Florence K. Johnson, 96, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Otsego Manor.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on Feb. 21, 1915, the daughter of Victor and Lydia (Swenson) Seaberg.

She married Gunnar Johnson on April 17, 1938, in Huntington, Long Island. He predeceased her on Sept. 28, 1977.

Mrs. Johnson attended St. John's Lutheran Church in West Burlington.

Surviving are her son, Robert Johnson of Maryland; her daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Linda) Roseboom of Schenevus; her granddaughter, Susan Roseboom of Ossining; a sister-in-law, Kay Seaberg of Dorchester, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Fallon; her brother, Roy Seaberg and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at the Edmeston Union Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Otsego Manor Activities Fund, 128 Phoenix Mills Cross Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Many thanks to all the Manor employees for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Johnson.
