SOUTH NEW BERLIN _ Kenneth H. Figger, 72, a lifelong resident of South New Berlin, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Otsego Manor, Cooperstown.

He was born in New Berlin, the son of Kenneth C. Figger and Ona (Dixson) Figger. He was married to Nancy Welch Dockstader on Aug. 8, 1992, in the White Store Church.

He was a member of the National Guard; he was a milk tester for many years and retired in 1999. He thrived on keeping his lawns and gardens impeccable. He also enjoyed attending auctions and refinishing wood.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Welch) Figger of South New Berlin; his two children, Dale Figger of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cheryl Minteer of Spring, Texas; and his granddaughter, Danielle Minteer, also of Spring, Texas; his brother, Gary Figger (Eileen) of New Berlin; his stepchildren, Tim Dockstader of Edmeston, Gretchen Douglas of Oneonta, Heather Hoffman of New Berlin, Shane Dockstader of South New Berlin; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth C. Figger and Ona (Dixson) Figger; and his first wife, Beverly Weidman.

Calling hours will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Douglas Besemer officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in South New Berlin.

The family would like to thank Sitrin Rehabilitation Center in New Hartford and Otsego Manor of Cooperstown for their special attention and care.
